Capitol Park Hotel

A street view of a historic multi-story white building with ornate architectural details stands surrounded by other buildings. Nearby, a crane from a local crane rental company adds modern contrast as it assists in construction, while trees line the street and cars are parked along the curb.

Besides the actual lift, pre-planning is an often an under looked and integral part of the construction process.  Pre-site inspection done by Dependable crane utilize modern technology in order to limit any unexpected delays.  On-site trips are used to photograph site access as well as to measure any obstructions that may hinder crane setup.  Contractors are often unaware of the space needed for crane setup and when time = money, any delay could be costly.

We at Dependable use software provided by CompanyCam.  The software allows us to photograph and video on site pre inspection as well as annotate images with important information all from our cell phones.  Notes can be taken and shared amongst contractors, operators, and dispatch to help avoid information being lost or forgotten.  A URL link can be sent out and easily shared between parties.  Things like measurements can then be pulled from the onsite visit and other places like site plans or google earth images.  Those measurements are imported into 3d lift planning software.  A lift plan will be completed and can be provided to the contractor for additional cost.  Lift plans are imperative as they can show clearances visually as well as showing precise location of crane setup and load locations.  Errors can be costly to all parties involved.  Proper lift planning removes the guess work from complicated lifts and can provide everyone with peace of mind.

Once clearances are discovered, Dependable crane can coordinate with traffic control in order to obtain the correct permits required when street closures are needed.  This can remove a lot of the headache from a project and allow customers to focus on what they do best.

Providing the best service for their customers.  Once everything is completed and submitted the final step would be calling into our dispatch office and scheduling.  On the morning of the lift our dispatchers can forward a simple URL link to any onsite contact that will display the location and arrival time of their crane.  Dependable crane uses Samsara for dispatching and coordination of all equipment rentals.

Dependable crane also offers storage and recycling services for most projects as well.  Customers can have equipment delivered to Dependables’ yard for storage until the job date.  This can eliminate all scheduling errors because your equipment is in the hands of the crane.  You no longer have to worry about having inaccurate delivery time coming from trucking companies.
