Many believe that safe Crane Rental operations begin with the selection of the correct crane during an effective lift planning process. However, understanding the complexities of a job site and proper planning leads to the correction of a proper crane for your project. We use 3D planning software to model all the details of your job site to ensure the proper selection of you crane.
During the planning processes, our modeling analyzes the terrain, local obstacles, and many other factors. We virtually simulate the lift to ensure accountability for these factors resulting in a quick and efficient lift. When we arrive at your job site, our team has already completed the lift virtually. Knowing exactly how each small detail will unfold results in a cost savings for you and another safe project in our portfolio.
The planning process includes a deep dive into the Operating Manual to analyze many factors including:
Mobile cranes come in many varieties, so make sure to select the right crane for the particular site.
Examples may include the following…
Cranes are complex, heavy machinery which require specialized knowledge and training to operate and rig safely. Each of our operators has many years of experience and have completed a rigorous training regime affirming employee expertise. Operators must have a deeper understanding of safety procedures, proper crane placement, hand signals and rigging. Simply being well-versed by knowing the boom crane inside and out is not enough to properly execute a safe lift.
That’s why an important element of crane lifting safety is confirming that employees who use it have the right expertise. Operators not only must know the equipment inside and out, but they also need to be well-versed in all of the proper safety procedures. These include knowing the appropriate hand signals.

Our operations team starts each day with inspecting each crane. These pre-start checks include checking the conditions of tires, oil levels, belts, air reservoir and the battery to name a few.
Additionally, before each day’s work begins, we ensure a proper engine startup analyzing the pressure gauges, fuel levels, signals, hydraulic system, suspension, brake system as well as many other factors. This includes checks of our safety systems checks of our anti-two block, rated capacity limiter and outriggers.
All in, we perform about 40+ specific checklist tasks prior to beginning work on your project to ensure a safe and smooth day of operations.

Depndables’ mobile cranes use outriggers and/or other stabilizing features like wooden planks or steel plates to prevent the crane from tipping over during operation. We follow our manufacturers’ guidelines to ensure operations within outrigger extension limitations. To accomplish this, we use outrigger pads or crane pads underneath outriggers and never place outriggers over open holes, depressions, unsteady ground or other voids.
Crane accident incidences, like tip-overs, are dramatically reduced from outrigger planning and configuration. Part of our safety assessment process requires stabilizing the crane outrigger before any load is ever lifted.
Lastly, proper rigging of our customers prevents the package from failure which would result in damage to load, destruction of property, or injury to surrounding workers.Proper rigging is accomplished by our team of professionals through hitching and sling angle industry best practices among other factors. A thorough understanding of the forces and distribution of weight is essential to implement the correct rigging technique for a safe, stable lift.
